Each carving is individually created from kiln dried Basswood lumber and other materials as required. Most of them receive a painted faux finish that is reminiscent of weathered paint. I like the “broken colour” appearance, it seems more in touch with nature and the creativity of her elements in concert with paint. The technique creates unique results on every carving – each one possesses it’s own distinct character. All are signed and dated. Horses, cats, cows and roosters come in a variety of colours and coat patterns. Requests for specific colours or patterns are welcome.
